JBD Recruitment are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs and / or disabilities (SEND) on behalf of a mainstream primary school in Westminster. Teaching Assistants at the school need to be to be positive team players, providing support to both teachers and children. This role involves working under the guidance and direction of the class teacher and SENCo. You will be part of the school’s 'Wellbeing Team’ through which you will be well supported, including receiving a bespoke programme of professional development. The post is full time, term time only, working from 8:30am to 4:00pm. The successful candidate is likely to have some experience of working with pupils with special needs and understands a range of needs and strategies to support them. The school are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and references must be satisfactory.
